This year, both Samsung and Apple are aiming to launch premium smartphones with thinner designs than ever. While Apple is finalizing the iPhone 17 Air to replace the iPhone 17 Plus, Samsung is also ready to introduce the impressively thin Galaxy S25 Slim in the second quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both “giants” are pursuing the goal of reducing the thickness of the device to the most optimal level. However, Apple may take the lead with the 6.25mm thin iPhone 17 Air, while Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Slim is said to be 6.6mm thick, just 1mm thinner than the standard Galaxy S24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, Apple has realized that the iPhone Plus line is not creating strong appeal in the market. Samsung’s Galaxy S Plus line is also facing a similar situation. However, while Apple decided to replace the Plus version with the iPhone 17 Air, Samsung is testing the market by launching the Galaxy S25 Slim as a completely new additional version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the iPhone 17 Air may be slimmer, the Galaxy S25 Slim is said to be the winner in terms of specs. Rumors have it that the S25 Slim will feature a 200-megapixel main camera and a new 50-megapixel ISOCELL sensor with 3.5x optical zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of battery, the Galaxy S25 Slim is said to feature the same battery as the S25 Plus, with a capacity of 4700mAh to 5000mAh, with powerful performance thanks to the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samsung is expected to hold an Unpacked event on January 22 to introduce the Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S25 Slim may be revealed at the event, but the official launch date will be later than the standard models, in the second quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
