Google has updated its Android Switch app, adding the ability to transfer burst photos from iPhone to Android phones, making it easier for users to maintain their entire photo collection when switching platforms. This is a big step forward, as the tool previously did not support transferring this particular type of photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Android Switch helps users move many important data types such as contacts, messages, call logs, photos, videos, and even app data, from the iOS ecosystem to Android. However, transferring burst photos \u2013 a familiar feature of the iPhone \u2013 has been limited. Now, with the latest update, this limitation has been overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Paul Dunlop, Product Lead for Android Onboarding and Android Settings at Google, users can now easily transfer entire burst photo collections via cable or WiFi. \u201cWith this update, you\u2019ll always have all your burst photos when you switch to a Pixel phone, so you don\u2019t miss any important moments, even when switching from iOS to Android,\u201d he shared on the Threads platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to supporting burst photo transfers, these photos will be automatically grouped into stacks in Google Photos, making them easier to manage and access. This feature is currently available on the latest Pixel devices through initial setup or the Android Switch app. Google also plans to roll out support for other Android phones in the near future, including Samsung Galaxy devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
