Samsung has just unveiled its new Neo QLED TV lineup for this year. During its “First Look CES 2025” event, the company revealed Vision AI for its new TV models. Samsung says the AI-powered TVs will “enhance the quality of your everyday life.”
The company unveiled its flagship Neo QLED TV – the QN990F, and its Lifestyle TV series – The Frame and The Frame Pro.
Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs for 2025 feature a host of new AI features
The company’s new Neo QLED TVs feature Vision AI – a suite of features that turn your TV into a smart companion.
The Tap to Search feature – seemingly inspired by the Circle to Search with Google feature on Galaxy phones – provides instant information about what’s on the TV screen. The feature can recognize actors, places, products, and even food on-screen and provide more information about them.
Biometric Wallpapers create dynamic, personalized images to suit each person’s individual preferences. Meanwhile, the Live Translation feature running on the device provides real-time translated subtitles.
The QN990F – a premium TV model from Samsung for 2025 – features the NQ8 AI Processor Gen3 to improve sound and picture quality. It has a minimalist and ultra-slim design but still follows the design language of its predecessor.
It also has access to Samsung’s Art Store, previously only available on its Lifestyle TVs, including The Frame and The Serif.
The 8K AI Upscaling Pro feature offers the ability to display lower-resolution content in crisp 8K resolution. Meanwhile, Auto HDR Remastering Pro analyzes every scene and improves color and dynamic range.
Adaptive Sound Pro – which runs on the device – separates each audio element, such as background music, voices, and sound effects, and adjusts their intensity to deliver balanced audio.
By analyzing each scene with AI, Color Booster Pro provides enhanced picture processing. The AI Mode feature on TV analyzes the content and the room where the TV is placed to optimize the sound and picture accordingly.
Samsung has not yet announced all the features and specifications of the new Neo QLED TVs. The company is likely to reveal detailed specifications and a full list of new TV models in the coming days. The Neo QLED TVs will be available in two resolution options: 4K and 8K.
