Samsung is preparing to introduce a feature that could be a lifesaver in the event of a car accident. The Galaxy S25 series is said to feature a car crash detection sensor, similar to what was present on previous devices like the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 5. However, it’s worth noting that this feature hasn’t officially launched on any devices yet.

Car crash detection is a personal safety feature that we’ve seen on the Pixel series, but it hasn’t made its way to other flagship Android phones yet. Samsung has included a crash detection sensor in previous versions, but the feature hasn’t been rolled out yet. According to leaked files from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the car crash detection sensor is still present, but there’s no word on whether it’s activated.

This sensor acts as an aggregator, processing and merging data from other physical sensors. A hidden system app called “MoccaMobile” in One UI from version 5.1.1 and above has been discovered, containing code to start and stop the collision sensor. However, there is no official UI or functionality related to the collision detection feature yet.

This raises the question of whether Samsung plans to implement this feature with the Galaxy S25 series. If enabled, this feature could provide peace of mind to users, especially in emergency situations. With the built-in sensor, users can hope that the collision detection feature will soon be launched on the Galaxy S25 series, adding an important protection tool in unexpected situations.
