Samsung has officially received the “Eye Care Circadian Rhythm” certification from Germany’s VDE for its 2025 main TV lines, including Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs. This certification is a testament to the high standards of safety and eye protection of Samsung products.
The VDE Institute is known for its rigorous testing process, evaluating products based on six main criteria: eye safety, melatonin suppression, flicker, image uniformity, color accuracy, and circadian rhythm impact. Samsung has achieved high ratings in all of these criteria.
The standout feature of the Samsung 2025 TV is the “Eye Comfort” mode, which automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature to suit the viewing time and environment. During the day, natural brightness is maintained to reduce eye strain, while at night, brightness and color temperature are reduced to support comfortable sleep.
Son Tae-yong, Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung, said: “We are proud that Samsung’s user-first innovations have been recognized internationally. We will continue to lead the TV market by realizing user-centric values.”
Samsung TV eye care technology focuses on reducing eye strain, reducing flicker, and managing blue light to improve sleep quality. Blue light can affect the hormone melatonin, making it difficult to maintain sleep cycles.
In addition, Samsung’s “flicker-free” technology reduces eye strain and provides a more comfortable viewing experience. Combined with picture uniformity and color accuracy, Samsung 2025 TVs deliver perfect display quality.
